EMERGENT AUDIO

Creator Core

FAQ & Troubleshooting

A few quick answers to common questions. Tap a topic to expand it.

Q: Who is Emergent Audio? Are you part of a bigger company?

Creator Core is an independent product. It’s designed, coded, tested, and supported by a small studio—not a big investor-backed company and not part of a plugin conglomerate.

That’s why the focus is so narrow: one great front end, calibrated for real creators who care about sound quality more than buzzwords. No spyware, no “phone home” analytics, no bloat installers. If you downloaded Creator Core directly from emergentaudio.com or shop.emergentaudio.com, you’re getting it straight from the source.

If the business ever grows enough to bring more people in, the priority stays the same: rock-solid audio tools first, everything else second.

Q: Are the downloads on this site safe? Do you bundle any extra software?

Creator Core installers from emergentaudio.com are clean builds that we compile ourselves. No adware, no toolbars, no “system optimizers,” no miners, no bloat.

The installer only contains Creator Core and the files it needs to run. We don’t inject browser extensions, we don’t install background updaters, and we don’t add any trialware from other companies.

If you downloaded Creator Core directly from emergentaudio.com or shop.emergentaudio.com, you’re getting it from the source. You buy it, you install it, it’s yours—no ads, no bundled junk.

Q: Is the checkout secure when I buy a license?

Yes. Our payments are handled by our commerce partner on a secure, encrypted checkout page. All traffic goes over HTTPS (you’ll see the lock icon in your browser), and your card details are processed by their payment provider – we never see or store your full card number on our servers.

We only receive the information we need to issue your license (like your email and what you purchased). You can also use any alternative payment methods offered at checkout if you prefer not to type card details directly.

Q: Where do I buy a Creator Core license?

Licenses are sold through our store at shop.emergentaudio.com .

Q: How do I activate Creator Core?

Open the Activation screen inside the app, paste your license key, and click Activate. Make sure you’re online the first time.

Q: I changed PCs. Can I move my license?

Yes. Deactivate on the old machine first if possible, then activate with the same key on the new one. If you’re locked out, email [email protected] .

Q: Does Creator Core add latency? Can you fix my latency issues?

Creator Core runs in real time, but it does not control your audio buffer size or driver. Latency mostly comes from:

  • Your audio interface driver (ASIO / ALSA / CoreAudio / WASAPI, etc.).
  • The buffer size you choose in that driver’s control panel.
  • Your CPU load (how hard your machine is already working).
  • Your sample rate (higher sample rates = more CPU, but lower latency per buffer).

Creator Core just processes whatever audio the driver gives it at the buffer size you selected. We don’t install drivers, and we don’t override your interface settings.

If your buffer is large (512 / 1024 samples), you will feel latency, no matter what software you use. If your CPU is struggling, you may get pops/clicks/dropouts, which no app can fully hide.

Also important: if your interface is “class-compliant only” or uses the OS’s built-in driver with no proper control panel, you may not be able to adjust the buffer size at all. In that case, your latency is effectively locked by the interface/driver, not by Creator Core.

Creator Core’s job is to shape and clean up the signal in front of everything else. Latency is a property of your hardware + driver + buffer settings. We’ll run as efficiently as possible inside whatever setup you’ve got, but we can’t force your interface to run faster than its driver allows.

Q: Are you going to add FX like reverb, delay, etc. to Creator Core?

Creator Core is an audio front end. It is designed to enhance and strengthen your input signal source. Everything that you record from it is “printed” and cannot be adjusted or altered after the fact. Time-based FX and extra processing (reverb, EQ, delay, etc.) are much better left to plugins in your DAW, where you can tweak them later without re-recording.
